In this moment when social-distancing and self-hygiene are the key words being promoted by everyone from the governments to the health organisations, we all need to understand that the only way out of this pandemic is to keep ourselves, our families and our fellowmen safe is by strictly following these guidelines and avoiding anything that impairs or compromises our immunity. COVID-19 belongs to the family of Corona viruses that are hundreds in number and mostly effect only birds and mammals. Seven out of these are found to affect humans and four out of these seven just cause mild cold or flu like symptoms. Only three of the seven human coronaviruses are ones which pose serious risk to humans. These are SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV-2 that causes Covid-19. As most of these human coronaviruses effect the lower respiratory system and are likely to become fatal for people with low immunity, so it may not be a surprise that many of us may by now have been invaded by the Covid-19 virus in this situation were there are hundreds of still unidentified carriers of Covid-19 roaming around us in our towns and cities, as their symptoms have yet not surfaced!!!! Alarming, does that sound, well, you need not be paranoid, cause we get exposed to various bacterias & viruses day in and out throughout our lives but most of the time our immune system takes care of them & we don't even notice them. Surprisingly there is a vast range of these microbes that inhibit our body from our skin to our digestive tract without causing any harm, rather a few are even helpful to our wellbeing. As we carry out our lives breathing in and consuming Though in few cases we do experience mild symptoms or discomfort but even these go away in few days with rest and few precautions. It's only in few cases that we need medical intervention & support.
