You may see a message to install, but it is not compatible with the iPad. 4. Reader Button: When visible, this button allows you to view a web page without extraneous information. It appears more like a printed version of the information included in the site. 5. Refresh: Tap this icon to reload the current web page. 6. Bookmarks: This is your “Favorites” folder on the iPad. Here you will find any sites which you have chosen to add to Bookmarks. 7. New Tab: Tap the “+” to add another tab to the browser window when viewing multiple sites is needed. 8. Close Current Tab: Tap this “X” to close the currently viewed tab when it is no longer needed. 1. Navigating: The Forward and Back buttons allow the user to navigate to and from the pages visited on a specific tab. 2. Export: This icon features many options: Adding a Bookmark: After navigating to the desired page, tap this option to customize a bookmark. Add to Reading List: This option saves pages for later reading. This is ideal for online newspapers and articles. Adding a URL Shortcut to Your Home Screen: If you have a website that you often visit, you can add an icon link to your Home Screen. First use your browser to visit the desired page. Choose Add to Home Screen. Change the name if desired and tap Add. 3. Address and Search Bar: The URL for webpages is found in this field. This is also where users can enter an internet search in Google. Camera Use the camera to take snapshots from the front or back cameras built into the iPad. Simply click on the Camera app icon to begin using your iPad as both a camera and video camera. 1. Taking a Photo: To take a picture with your iPad, tap the circular icon superimposed on the screen. 2. Back/Front Camera: This icon allows for easily switching between the front and back cameras. 3. Options: Sliding up and down changes the camera from still to video and also allows for square pictures. When in video mode, the circular icon is red to indicate recording. 13
