Center ribbon-Cutting
I
t is hard to believe that it has been ten years since
the doors to the Chester H. Ferguson Law Center
opened on February 27, 2008. The goal of
making the dream of a Bar building a reality was
not taken lightly by the Hillsborough County Bar
Foundation. During the development and construction
process, the Bar Foundation overcame some serious
challenges, the least of which was the design and
construction of a facility that the Hillsborough legal
community could be proud to call home.
Groundbreaking for the building was held in June
2006. Facing an 18-month construction deadline, the Bar
Foundation embarked upon a campaign to gather support
and donors to assist with the $6.5-million project budget.
A joint Foundation and Association Committee met
