Construction Section Luncheon/CLE
On September 21, Brian Albritton with the firm Phelps dunbar LLP gave an
overview to the Construction Law Section on the topic “False Claims Act: Recent
Trends and Reducing Risks of whistleblower FCA Suits in the Construction industry.”
He covered FCA trends and recoveries; elements of claims; sanctions for violations;
FCA investigative powers; and examples of construction fraud prosecuted under FCA.
