Matt Hall learned about service and leadership at an early age.
After a challenging childhood growing up in Vermont, Hall joined the United States Army at the age of 17.
Hall was later deployed to Iraq in 2003 with the 4th Infantry Division, where he was a machine-gunner in a Bradley fighting vehicle.
For his courageous service in the face of enemy fire, Hall was awarded the Army’ s prestigious Combat Infantryman Badge( CIB).
Upon returning home, Hall redirected his commitment to
Matt Hall and Chief Judge Sabella at his Installation in June. making a difference into the legal profession, pursuing a law degree and building a career.
Now, after nearly a decade of service on the HCBA Board of Directors, Hall has been sworn in as the HCBA’ s 2025- 26 Board President.
Thirteenth Circuit Chief Judge Christopher C. Sabella administered the oath at an installation ceremony at the Ferguson Law Center on June 12.
“ Thank you for this opportunity,” Hall told the 250 HCBA members in attendance.
