THE GREAT WAR 19141918: Hawkesbury Heroes
This exhibition describes the
experiences of some of the 600
Hawkesbury servicemen and
women who served in the Great
War. Many of the objects have
never been on public display before,
and are on loan from private
collections and family members of
WWI soldiers.

Do you know what it means to live
on a flood plain? This exhibition
Tom Sowden
looks at the significant history of
flooding in the Hawkesbury-Nepean, and how it has shaped our
communities. It includes archival photography, film from ABC
archives and the recently-conserved Howell Mill wheel.

of Windsor, and
their much-loved
department store.
SIGNAL CANNONBALL FROM HMS BOUNTY
A relic from the infamous ship whose crew mutinied and cast off
their commander William Bligh.
Also on display: Indigenous Inhabitants, Early Settlers, Pioneering
Families, Child’s Play and the Bachelors’ Ball of 1847 are stories
presented in several small display cases in the permanent
exhibition space.
RECENT ACQUISITIONS
The Museum has a collection of more than 5000 (and growing)
significant objects relating to the history of the Hawkesbury area.
