As we head into another busy month across the Hawkesbury, there’ s a real sense of pride in the strength and spirit of our community.
With the Windsor Gas Lamp Festival just around the corner, it’ s a wonderful reminder of our rich history and the importance of supporting local businesses and events that bring people together.
At the same time, we’ re seeing exciting progress shaping our future. Plans for the revitalisation of McQuade Park and the approval of the Richmond Swimming Centre redevelopment highlight important investment in our region- ensuring our community continues to grow with the right facilities in place.
Of course, growth also brings challenges. Traffic congestion along Windsor Road remains a major concern for many residents, with longer commute times impacting daily life. It’ s clear that infrastructure needs to keep pace with the rapid expansion of our region.
We also highlight an issue that deserves attention- the rise in homelessness among women in the Hawkesbury. The work being done by local organisations is incredible, and it’ s a reminder of how important community support is, especially as we head into the colder months.
On a positive note, I’ m excited to share that our newest publication, Western Sydney Seniors, launches next month. With the over-55 population growing rapidly, this magazine will provide a dedicated platform to inform, connect and support our senior community.
Thank you to our readers, advertisers and contributors for your continued support. As always, we’ re proud to be telling the stories that matter most to our community.
