Hope Run set to go the distance for

The Jeremiah Project by Julie Ryan

The community is being called to lace up, step out and make a difference, with the upcoming Hope Run raising vital funds for The Jeremiah Project is a grassroots organisation supporting people experiencing homelessness across Sydney.
Founded by Jacky Turano, The Jeremiah Project was built on a simple but powerful mission: to offer more than just practical support. Through a dedicated network of volunteers, the organisation focuses on restoring dignity, connection and hope for vulnerable men, women and children.
What began as a deeply personal calling has grown into a movement
making a real impact across the Hawkesbury and beyond. Inspired by a dream and driven by compassion, Jacky’ s journey started with small acts of kindness, donating blankets and beanies during winter, before evolving into a fullscale outreach committed to changing lives. Today, The Jeremiah Project continues to expand its reach, offering not only essentials, but genuine care and human connection.
Now, the organisation’ s major annual fundraiser the Hope Run is set to bring the community together for an unforgettable challenge.
Kicking off at 7am on May 16 from Roxborough Park in Baulkham Hills, participants will take on a 26-kilometre journey in support of the cause. Whether you choose to run, walk or take it at your own pace, the event is designed to be inclusive and accessible for all fitness levels.
Along the route, participants will stop at Rouse Hill Town Centre for refreshments and a well-earned break, with a support bus and first aid officer on hand to ensure everyone’ s safety. The finish line celebrations will take place at The Bunker, where a sausage sizzle will be waiting to reward participants for their efforts.
More than just a physical challenge, the Hope Run is about community, connection and making a tangible difference. Funds raised will go directly towards future initiatives led by The Jeremiah Project, helping the organisation continue its work supporting those doing it tough.
Participants are asked to contribute a $ 79 donation to register, which covers food, drinks and a hi-vis vest for safety. Additional donations are encouraged for those wanting to further support the cause.
With its strong message of hope and compassion, the Hope Run is shaping up to be a meaningful event that not

only brings people together but helps transform lives.
To get involved, mark May 16 in your calendar and be part of something bigger because every step taken is a step towards hope.
