Designs unveiled for new ambulance

station at South Windsor

An artist’ s impression of the new ambulance station planned for South Windsor has been released, offering the community a first look at the modern, purpose-built facility set to strengthen emergency and mobile medical care in Sydney’ s north west.
The project is part of the NSW Government’ s $ 615.5 million NSW Ambulance Infrastructure Program, which will deliver 30 new ambulance stations and major upgrades to paramedic facilities across the state. The investment aims to boost emergency care capacity and support paramedics in providing timely, high quality medical care to local communities.
The South Windsor station will feature internal parking for emergency vehicles, a dedicated vehicle wash bay, a multipurpose area for paramedics, gym, meeting and training rooms, administration spaces, logistics and storage facilities, and onsite parking. Its location offers excellent access to the region’ s major road network, ensuring strong coverage and complementing the surrounding ambulance stations.
Construction is expected to begin in 2026, pending planning approval and the appointment of building contractors. The planning and design phase is nearing completion, with further community updates to come as the project progresses.
