Finding connection: bringing our community together for

At Norwest and Ngarra Christian Colleges, we’ re committed to growing and developing our community through shared experiences. With over 1300 students attending our Colleges, the deep value of connection and building lasting relationships across generations is key. From Thursday, 26 June to Saturday, 28 June, our College campus burst to life at WinterFest.
The heart of our community is focused on connection, care and belonging. Over the three days, we ran seven memorable WinterFest events bringing together members from all parts of our extended community to celebrate and enjoy Our Norwest. From the fun and charm of our Disney Trivia Night, to the warmth of our Partners Breakfast, each event offered something unique. There were countless opportunities for families, staff, alumni, and friends to engage, reconnect, and enjoy time together.
Highlights included imaginative Disney-inspired costumes at Trivia Night and the chance to welcome our Alumni back on campus- bringing past and present together in a spirit of shared story. Adding to the comradery, students from Kindergarten to Year 12 also enjoyed participating in a Student House
Challenge, bringing students across the College together to compete and enjoy time together.
Finishing out the week, our campus was transformed into a wonderland, as our WinterFest Carnival was packed full of family fun with amazing rides, food trucks and activities run by some of our Secondary Years students.
WinterFest also provided a wonderful opportunity to welcome prospective families onto our campus for our 2025 Open Day. We were especially grateful for the generous support of our Platinum Sponsor, L J Hooker Schofields, and Gold Sponsor, Barnabas Aid, whose contributions helped make the event possible.
College Principal, Felicity Marlow, commented,
“ WinterFest captured what makes our community so special. WinterFest was more than just a series of events; it was a
reflection of Our Norwest- a community where every individual contributes to a shared story of purpose, care, and belonging.”
WinterFest beautifully embodied the essence of Our Norwest, a vibrant
community bonded by care, connection and shared purpose.
