GALA DAY - SATURDAY 18 NOVEMBER Return of the Hawkesbury Paddlewheeler

The Hawkesbury Paddlewheeler RETURNS TO WINDSOR …

After going through three years of hell with floods , fires , more floods and COVID , slipping through the cracks of Government bodies who were handing out grants and missing out altogether . All of the blood , sweat and tears is about to be transformed into frivolity , partying , singing and dancing at the Gala Day . This has been organised by the Windsor Experience group , supported by The Nepean Blue Mountains Primary Health Network ( NBMPHN ) as part of the Australian Government response to the 2022 floods . Wentworth healthcare is the provider of NBMPHN .
We are pleased to announce that Susan Templeman MP will be cutting the ribbon to launch the majestic Paddlewheeler on its return .
Robyn Preston MP and Sarah McMahon Mayor of Hawkesbury City Council , along with Councillors Shane Djuricd , Les Sheather and Nathan Zamprogno will also be present .
Local entertainers will be rocking the boat from early morning and into the afternoon . So come along , sing along , have a dance , tap your feet and support our local Hawkesbury Live musicians . They are Dave Wilkins , Matthew Charnley , David Bleus , Cracked Cats ( Maggie and Rick ), Jed Zarb , Little Black Ducks and John Brownrigg .
Bring along a picnic chair and sit back and enjoy our brekkie burgers and soft drinks , as we showcase the iconic Paddlewheeler , back at her home where she belongs . The day will showcase the Hawkesbury River , with its iconic tourist attraction moored at Windsor Wharf .
The Windsor Experience Action Group Inc have supported Ian Burns and the Paddlewheeler and will be putting on a great party at the Gala Day .
We will be serving bacon and egg rolls from 7am throughout the morning , and then brunch , with delights from Windsor Fresh Meats . We will also be showcasing local business such as Windsor Fresh Meats .
We have also organised a photographic exhibition , where Jeff Walsh , photographer has kindly put this exhibition together for the Paddlewheeler . Jeff is a member of the Windsor Experience Group , supporting local initiatives .
We have linked with the Sunday markets in Windsor , and several of their stalls will be there , so please support them as they back Windsor and bring tourists to the area .
You will be able to buy a coffee , or maybe a donut , or Mr Whippy ice cream ,
after the Windsor Experience group has given you a yummy FREE bacon and egg roll , or maybe brunch .
A donation box will be on board the Paddlewheeler , so when you go for a wander on board , please think of Ian Burns , who has worked solidly for the last two and a half years to make this day happen .
It has only been for his many friends supporting him that all of this is possible .
Parking will be in the Baker Street or Kable Street Car parks or the Peninsula area , just a short walk to the wharf . Slip , slop , slap , hats on , deck chairs or
picnic blankets , and come on down for a great day on the river , supporting the Hawkesbury Paddlewheeler .
You will be able to talk with Ian and book your Christmas cruises , or maybe book one of the entertainers for your next event .
Please don ’ t forget the donation box , supporting the Paddlewheeler coming home . The ABC will be broadcasting from the Paddlewheeler while moored at the Wharf .
Can ’ t wait , see you there . Come and say hi to our many volunteers on the BBQ and enjoy a Windsor experience .
