TIM RONDEAU—TEACHER OF THE YEAR 2013-14!!
Congratulations to Math teacher and football
coach, Tim Rondeau for being named Mill
Creek’s 2013-14 Teacher of the Year. He was
announced as this year’s winner at this
month’s faculty meeting, and his
family was on hand to surprise
him as he received his award. This
is Coach Rondeau’s 8th year
teaching and all of them have
been at Mill Creek. He is the
varsity running backs coach and
running game coordinator for
football. He also sponsors the
Spikeball Club and enjoys supporting all of our sports and
activities at Mill Creek.
When discussing his teaching philosophy,
Rondeau states, “Despite my love for mathe-
matics as a discipline, I am a teacher, not a
mathematician. Fostering growth and
confidence in my students is far more important than the specific standards that I am
teaching.” Coach Rondeau
believes in getting to know his
students and works at
developing connections with
them. He says, “In my experience, students are more
engaged and exert more effort
when they feel valued and
respected by their teacher.” The
Mill Creek community is
fortunate to have such a dedicated teacher and coach. Tim
Rondeau is a wonderful representative for Mill
Creek as its 2013-14 Teacher of the Year.
