designer or maybe even a small business owner? Do you work in
the fashion industry or for a marketing firm? Are you a registered
dietician, chef, caterer, or own a daycare? Are you a personal
trainer or nurse? Do you work as an architect or engineer? If you
answered yes to any question above, we need you! Mill Creek's
Career and Technical Education department is seeking community
members and parents to be a part of the 2013-2014 Advisory
Board. We meet twice each year. Our first meeting is Thursday,
October 24 at 3:00 pm. To become involved in the MCHS CTE

NATIONAL HONORS FOR MILL CREEK
YEARBOOK
The Accipiter, Mill Creek’s yearbook was the recipient
of one of the most coveted yearbook awards. The
Premier Print Awards is the world’s most prestigious
international printing competition and recognizes the
greatest print pieces in the world. The award primarily recognizes achievement in design; the overall
"look" of the book. Only 33 awards were given to all
yearbooks nationally, including high school and college books from all publishing houses. Accipiter 2013
was one of only 9 high school yearbooks in the nation
to receive this award (one of 4 high schools served by
our publisher). Mrs. Neff and Mrs. Reynolds, yearbook sponsors, will receive a special award plaque
recognizing our students who contributed to the overall design of the book:

The Math Team has set its official start date for September 24, 2013 with an informational meeting. The
math team competes in 5 tournaments each year. Our
previous student members can boast about placing in
the top 3 over the past years.
Both sponsors, Mrs. Hunsucker and Mr. Sever, encourage all honors and gifted math students with at
least a high “B” average to apply. Applications can be
located in room 1620 or 1610. Permission slips are
