PAGE 3 SPECIAL OLYMPICS AWARDS!! MCHS took a total of 44 athletes and Unified Partners to Special Olympics Fall State Games. The 8 Unified teams and 3 traditional teams participated in the sport of Bocce. After practicing since the first of August, we are proud to announce our medal count from the competition: ? 3 teams received Gold ? 3 teams received Silver ? 2 teams received Bronze ? 4 teams received 4th. The coaches want to thank the administration and faculty, parents and students who made this such a wonderful weekend for all. Faculty-Student Softball Game! The scene was set for an amazing softball game which pitted the Administrators against the state-bound Varsity Softball team. The Admin team actually found a way to score in the top of the first. Mr. Drake led off with an infield single as he beat out the throw to first!! The Varsity girls then allowed the Administrators to bat around some and only scored a few runs on them. From that point on there were a lot of missed pitches on the part of the Administrators, but a good time was had by all. A shout out to all the softball girls for cutting the Adminis trators a little break and not making them look (and feel!) too bad. HAWK HERALD NATIONAL ART HONOR SOCIETY The National Art Honor Society (NAHS) members painted a full-size door in a carousel theme for a local charity event.
