Looking for some thrilling action in water but
is adamant? You don’t need to worry about that.
Republ1c Wakepark offers wavy excitement and
splashing enjoyment seldom offered by aqua clubs.
Located at the Nuvali complex, in Calamba, Laguna,
the Wakepark is open for enthusiasts to experience
world-class wakeboarding with its quality-wise cables,
ramps, rails, and boards. Only 45 minutes away from
Manila (via SLEX), the Wakepark is more accessible for
a quick-weekend vacation spot. What to expect when
you reach there? Republ1c Wakepark, owned by the
Ayala Corporation, is an advocate of eco-living and
sustainability. This is where healthy-lifestyle, through
wakeboarding, barges in.
Wakeboarding may be considered a niche market
since it’s not a common sport. It was typically for
Class A and Class B individuals who can afford all its
expenses. Nowadays, people from all walks of life
can do wakeboarding. Public transport wouldn’t be a
problem since Avida provides a shuttle service (from Sta.
Rosa to RW) for those who are eager in trying out the
sport, making it feasible and open to all. CWC(Camsur
Watersports Complex) serves as a role model of Republic
Wakepark.
Since CWC was the only wakeboarding venue with
complete services back at 2006, Governor LRay Jr.
Villafuerte thought of making it closer to people in
Southern Tagalog. As a wakeboarder himself, he
pushed the sport to whole different level. RW came
up with its 3.5 hectare lake that include updated
designs with its rails, ramps and cables. Why call it
a wakepark? Republic Wakepark has, not only the
lake itself, but restaurants, swimming pools, and
accommodat ions for better hospitality. So basically, it
is like a one-stop shop. In fact, not only pro riders can
enjoy the generosity RW offers.
