Derrick Rose, the Chicago Bulls elite
point guard, had a tour here in the Philippines
from September 14 to 16 in Manila. He
showcased his talents for the 2nd time in front
of his fans to show his love for the game and
to show how he loves the Filipinos because of
their desire for basketball. He appeared in his
media day, an “Adidas Originals” exclusive
party and basketball seminars to conducted
by D-Rose.
Derrick Rose came from the South
side Chicago where he grew up together
with his basketball skills. He was selected
number 1 overall by the limping Chicago
Bulls back then at 2009. The Bulls thought that
having Derrick on their team will make their
comeback to the league better than before,
actually D-Rose did not let the Chicago fans
down.
From flashy dunks to game winning
shots from his college days, Derrick Rose
immediately made his mark in the NBA. He
became a fan favorite not just in his own
town but also to other cities in the NBA and
the whole world. His uncanny attitude led him

but because he doesn’t create a spotlight
on his own.
appearances. Commentators and analysts in the
world of basketball said that Derrick is in Chicago
not to put his name to new heights, but to prove
that his team is a quality team. He makes his
teammates involve each and every game they
played.
By his attitude and competitive spirit, he
became a 3x NBA All star, NBA Rookie of the Year
in 2009, and the youngest NBA player at the age
of 22 to achieve the NBA Most Valuable Player
award. Unfortunately for the Chicago fans and
for Rose, he tore his ACL late in a game in the
2012 NBA playoffs against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Landing awkwardly on his left knee, he was not
able to recover quickly and was sidelined from
the whole playoffs and the 2013 season.
Derrick got injured, but he will return with
a vengeance and a chance to win an NBA title
with his team. That is why
he is coming here, to show
the fans how he means
business and how he
’loves the game.
He led his team to numerous playoff
