By Lou Victoria Eguia Layout by Glenice Marie Manalang “The Power that lies in a Single Note” Phablet, a term used for Smartphones appears to be bigger than an ordinary phone and at the same time, pretty smaller for an ordinary tablet, but performs well in both ways. What tickles the techie these days is the hottest Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and how this is extremely useful for students. Unlike the other usual phones, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is different in size. It has a -5.5inch LCD and functional Stylus or the S-pen that makes the phablet very unique. With the Samsung bundle of phones and tablet, the S-pen adds enough experience for the productivity of the phone, making it easy for the user to scribble down notes or memo and draw as well. And not only that, the Note 2 is more polished in terms of how this is made be it its inside to its outside system. Bigger note for bigger hands Frankly speaking, I was amazed on the Galaxy Note 2 and at the same time problematic on how I am going to use this as my new phone. Truly, one-hand operation is not-so-applicable on this kind of phone, but because my Baby Nen-Nen (my Note 2’s name) is considered to be user-friendly, it has a feature of changing the mode of the keyboards. It took only a few days to adjust to Samsung’s size and with a bigger screen of -5.5inch, relieving me from eye strain. I can even look to the details in pictures sent to me. For those with smaller hands, it is about time we enjoy Note 2’s numerous benefits and get the surprise of yourself. Note 2: the making The plausible Galaxy Note 2 has a 1.6 quad-core processor and 4.1 jellybean android syst em that makes the phone perform like a computer. It is faster to use and more capable of using many applications. Just imagine that I have a desktop I can bring wherever I go. It is more reliable than the said desktop computer because of its easy-to-carry characteristic suitable for students. Due to the advancement of technology, research is made available not only for desktop computers, but also with smartphones. That is the power of mobile network. With its 3G HSPA21+Mbps capacity and available 4G LTE 100mbps, makes uploads speeds, download speeds, latency and indoor penetration are all terrific. 36 A pen beyond writing Want a pen that doesn’t only produces ink but rather produces creativity and productivity? The possible answer to this, is Galaxy Note 2 S Pen. The S Pen is surprisingly useful for it adds easy access to have quick commands in the phone itself. I can even have an instant scroll from top to bottom using the S Pen with no touch. Just the magic of the pen that lies beneath its tip! Scribble down notes for reminders on the Note 2’s sticky notes and draw as many images as you can using the S Pen for it has different kinds of brushes, pen, pencil and highlighter and customize the color you want to achieve, all of these features are located at the S Note that will surely be a hit for artistic students like me. One more thing is, the overall sense of precision it can give. Like hitting tiny buttons on the screen, making selections in editing your pictures or even tracing letter on your keyboard using the Swype and Swiftkey Fit features with the S Pen. Typing texts is a lot easier with the S Pen because you don’t need to type the letters one by one on the keyboard but you can write it down using the handwriting pad of the Samsung Keyboard by just changing its mode easily. It can identify any kind of penmanship.
