In our present day, we can see tablets everywhere because a lot of people are so hooked
to the development of smartphones, tablets, and handy gadgets aside from ordinary phones
and laptop. Due to the flow of trend of technology, different apps for entertainment, productivity,
education and a lot more have been developed and created for the users of the said gadget.
Majority of the apps are made by a group of skilled developers but only few of them are Filipinos. This
is the reason why some of the Pinoy-made apps present in Google Play Store made us more proud
and delightful to our fellow Filipino programmers. Here are some of them:
is a gaming app that has been developed by a team of Filipino app developers simply known as Team Butchukoy. The
name came from the popular Filipino game called “sipa”. To play this game, you need to kick an improvised shuttlecock
which is made up of metal washer and empty candy wrappers. If you want to know more about SIPA, then I’ll tell you it has
been acknowledged to be the first Pinoy-themed street game app for iOS and Android. So if you want to give it a try and
miss playing sipa, then start playing the virtual version of it by just downloading the app at the App store.
is classified as an award-winning game app made by Kuyi Mobile, a Philippine-based company. It is so “Pinoy”
because it exemplifies the culture of Filipinos in our love to eat streetfoods. Obviously, based on the name itself, playing this
app is by starting a food cart business and all you need to do is to sell a lot of delicious street foods to your local customers
and to celebrity customers like Lady Gaga and Justine Bieber or even Pnoy, the president of the Philippines.
is another app created by Kuyi Mobile. Unfortunately, it is only available for Android iPhone and iPad users. Rich
graphics compose this game app and will bring you to outer space as you try to save the Earth against the evil Alien
invaders.
created by Keybol is a logo guessing game. Like the other logo games, the objective of this game is to guess the name
of all the logos. But the only difference is that this game uses related Filipino logos and even popular Pinoy brands.
is known to be a productivity app developed by JWay Group Inc. This group is currently based in Silicon Valley,
California. It can scan and vocalize the content of the QR code. Another thing is that it has the capacity to scan any kind
of QR code without considering if it’s a vCard, website, email, or simply a text message. Unfortunately, this app still doesn’t
support the Filipino language.
