headlines when it secured a spot in the top ten listing of the UK's best modern churches. What better way to celebrate the first centenary of St Paul's in Harringay.

From our religious heritage to our industrial one. With our local warehouse commuity reaching out for the first time, 2013 was in some ways the 'Year of the Warehouse' for Harringay The show at Omega Arts at the end of last year led to the Catwalk Place party in the summer (see next section). So by way of a primer, HoL gave you a quick tour of our own warehouse district and threw one of Totenham's version into the mix.

Perhaps some of the best threads on HOL have been about the everyday kindnesses that neighbours show each other and the small victories they share. The tale of Amelia's small sparkly shoe, though perhaps unremarkable in some ways, was one such heart warming Harringay story from 2013.

Harringay Open Gardens

Started in 2012 by Ladder resident Alison Park, Harringay Open Gardens gives people in Harringay (and beyond) the chance to share their gardens with their neighbours.

For garden visitors the event is an opportunity to get some gardening inspiration or just to have a nose around their neighbours' back plots.

This year over a dozen locals threw open their gates. Gardens were included from the Ladder, the Gardens and the Hertmitage Road area as well as from Tottenham and Stroud Green.

Thanks to Alison for making it happen again and to all those who welcomed their neighbours into their homes.
