Being a beautiful Christian woman in
want to suggest that beauty
lies in the eye of the creator
and not just the beholder as is
commonly believed. Only
the designer and creator of a work
of art can name it for what it truly
is. A jar designed to hold
expensive oils which are only
produced in small quantities will
be described as too small until its
maker explains how custom-made
it is.
Your Maker has called you
beautiful, made for good works
and just like him. No one can say
otherwise. Regardless of any
imperfections you may see, it is
important that you acknowledge
yourself as beautiful. In the words
of Rev Funke Adejumo, “If you
do not say I am, no one will say
thou art”. Know that until you
begin to see yourself as beautiful,
few others will. Therefore, say
boldly, “I praise you because I am
fearfully and wonderfully made;

your works are wonderful, I know
that full well. (Psalm 139:14)
“For we are His work-
manship, created in Christ Jesus
for good works, which God
prepared beforehand so that we
would walk in them.”
Ephesians 2:10
“So God created mankind in
his own image, in the image of God
he created them; male and female
he created them.” Genesis 1:27
When God calls us beautiful,
He is speaking not from the
myopic human perspective that
focuses on physical looks but is
referring to our real selves - the
spirit man. The true and total
beauty of a person goes beyond a
pretty face and physique. It
includes speech, thought process,
general demeanor and the person's
spirit which is most important to
God.
