He turned to a few of his favorite pictures — a beautiful , delicate Alice standing en pointe as she considered the bottle labeled Drink Me ; Alice doing an arabesque as she held the backward-printed copy of the Jabberwocky poem to the mirror ; Alice dancing in the field of talking flowers — and then flipped to the latter book , Through the Looking Glass . Chapter Nine . He smiled . The title of the chapter was Queen Alice .
Present Day
Blumfield sat in the editing bay with his director Neil and the editor Miles . They were supposed to review the studio footage and splice it with the field investigation footage . Or at least that was the plan , but Miles went into an argument he had had with his son .
“… So , Charlie is mad now that he knows I ’ m monitoring his phone and internet activity , and says I ’ m invading his privacy . I tell him as long as he ’ s under eighteen , living in my house , and I ’ m paying for his phone and Wi-Fi , I can monitor anything I want . Then I try to tell him that there ’ s scary stuff online and I ’ m worried for him , but he starts ranting that I ’ m a fascist and don ’ t respect him . And then my wife asks if I ’ m monitoring her internet usage , and I reply —”
