implementing the critical thinking into their current lifestyle choices so they can choose a
different way to develop their life choices.
Methods and activities for critical thinking
For critical thinking it is imperative that the process is fully understood and applied so that the
learner can implement it effectively through the Moodle programme. We first demonstrate the
critical thinking skills and the process they should adopt through various job descriptions that
we have devised. In the programme we have started with an initial assessment of the
learner’s current attitude and expectations to the course. We then progress towards their
assessment using the critical thinking process to ascertain their skills set and place this on
the audit form which will then show their strengths and weaknesses, this reveals a plan of
their future career choices by using a template to develop this. We also introduced a mind
map to decide their future goals, both processes can then be demonstrated on Moodle. This
is then followed by modules in confidence, understanding body language and stress
management which people are likely to encounter in work placement situations. The final two
modules are on time management and writing an effective and persuasive C.V. as there will
be a positive development in employment situations and maybe even mean a career change.
Transferability
The entire module will be translated into Romanian, Norwegian, Spanish, Turkish and Italian,
thus it will assure its usage across the globe.
Certification and Evaluation
The evaluation can start with the assessment to understanding of the critical thinking
process(informal and non-formal), followed by the assessment of the training programme and
the evaluation of the training programme can be major tool in the context of lifelong learning
because it facilitates the participation in formal education and training.
