Bereavement Programs
Halifax Health - Hospice offers three comprehensive bereavement programs to support our hospice families and overall community .
Hospice Bereavement Program
Immediate family and caregivers are eligible for bereavement services following the death of a loved one in our Halifax Health - Hospice program . These services are available for up to 13 months following the death .
BeginAgain Children ’ s Program
Children age four - 18 who have experienced a death , regardless of hospice or traumatic loss connection , are eligible for counseling services . This program encompasses physical activity , art , drama , music and more .
Traumatic Loss Program
Residents within our service area who have experienced a death due to homicide , suicide , accident , overdose , line-of-duty , war , terrorism , natural disaster or pregnancy / child loss are eligible for specialized counseling with a trained traumatic loss counselor .
Counseling may include individual , family or group counseling and specialized events throughout the year .
Support Groups
