Dinner , as indicated on rim text , was held at “ Westwood Shrine Club Jan . 14th 1959 .” He is shown in uniform . Casey was the manager of the NY Yankees 1949-1960 . Y . 10 Pennants .” Casey Stengel was a Major League player all the way back in the 1910s for Brooklyn before finding his calling as a manager in 1934 . Casey managed for a total of 25 years , finishing with a career record of 1,905-1,842 . Stengel would be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1966 .
