To find a routine that fits, Liz, Dr. Su, and Gil suggest exploring different activities.“ Doing something enjoyable motivates more,” Liz says. And remember that even small things can have great benefits:“ If you can’ t manage an hour, 20 minutes is better than nothing,” advises Erin. Joe Ross also incorporates healthy habits throughout his workday.“ I park in the back lot and use stairs instead of elevators.” Gil recommends using the treadmill while enjoying television or multitask exercise with meeting clients with a planned activity, like hiking.
The bottom line is to start.“ Set goals,” Dr. Kotch says.“ As you set consistent schedules, good habits will form which translate into healthy routines.” §
