Florian or Quadri, as I found out in
my second to last day there. Take
the staircase in the Museo Correr
instead. Find the cafeteria, relax by
the window and gaze down at the
beauty of strangers passing by. Or
bring yourself a good book and
read avidly whilst indulging your
soul on the treats offered.
If you're an art lover why not get
yourself a Venice Chorus Pass, it
gives you access to 16 churches in
the city for s few euros. I'm not
saying start being believers darlings;
instead you save yourself hours of
waiting to get admission at the
Accademia to see all these artists
which
artworks
in
the
aforementioned. You don't even
have to visit them all at once; the
ticket is valid for a whole year! If
you're that enchanted I mean.
Last but not least! The food! Whilst
visiting Torcello, one the furthest
islands, we found this lovely
converted farmhouse restaurant
called Villa600. Eating in the garden
amidst the lazy afternoon sun,
butterflies and easy laughter was
heaven. They use a lot of local
produce and the staffs are some of
the most interesting individuals I've
ever met. Let's not forget the
homemade ice cream, which was
absolutely delightful.

ENJOYMENT:
IN RETROSPECT:
Venice was… riveting, unpredictable. I enjoyed
getting lost, finding small adventures around the
nook and crannies of the city. The locals were
incredible; they were funny, lovely and so patient!
I would invest into some motion sickness
medication or avoid any vehicle on water.
OUR NEXT ADVENTURE:
We will be leaving Europe altogether. Sunny
South Africa here we come. Anticipation level: 5
