Ubicado en el Palacio de Villalón, en pleno centro histórico,
la colección permanente está compuesta por unas 230
obras que recorren el arte del siglo XIX español, con especial
atención a la pintura andaluza (los malagueños Gómez Gil,
Moreno Carbonero o Barrón conviven con pintores de la talla
de Zurbarán, Sorolla, Zuloaga o Romero de Torres).

Situated in the Villalón Palace, in the heart of the historic
centre, the permanent collection is composed of some 230
works of 19th century Spanish art, with a special focus on
Andalusian painters (the Malaga artists Gómez Gil, Moreno
Carbonero and Barrón will be hung alongside masters such
as Zurbarán, Sorolla, Zuloaga or Romero de Torres).
Situated in the Buenavista Palace. Over 200 pieces of work, from
his academic beginnings up to his last paintings in the 70’s.
Tuesdays to Sundays: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Friday and
Saturday until 9 p.m.). Mondays closed. Free entry the
last Sunday of each month. Permanent collection 6 A.

Innovador museo sito en el Antiguo Mercado de Mayoristas
y diseñado por Rafael Moneo. La colección permanente y el
programa expositivo se centran en el siglo XX y XXI, además
de ofertar múltiples actividades culturales.

La idea es ofrecer al público, durante varios años, en un lugar
ya construido, como el Cubo en este caso, un recorrido por
obras de referencia de la colección del Centre Pompidou,
y acompañarlo con una programación de exposiciones y
experiencias multidisciplinares y talleres.

The idea is to offer to the public for several years an already
built-in, as the Cube in this case, a tour reference works
from the collection of the Centre Pompidou place, and ac-
company it with a program of exhibitions and multidiscipli-
nary experiences and workshops.
A novel museum situated in the former Wholesalers Market
and designed by Rafael Moneo. The permanent collection
and the exhibition programme focus on the 20th and 21st
Centuries, apart from offering a variety of cultural activities.
