Su edificio, situado en pleno corazón de Marbella, data del
S.XVII y cuenta con unos bellos jardines. Acoge exposiciones
temporales, conferencias, proyecciones y recitales. En él se
encuentra el Archivo Histórico Municipal, y una almazara del
S.XIX, compuesta por un molino, una termobatidora y dos
prensas hidráulicas.
Alberga una de las colecciones de arte contemporáneo
latinoamericano más importante en Europa, compartiendo
espacio con obras de artistas europeos. Destacan artistas
como Dalí, Miró, Wifredo Lam, Roberto Matta o Braun-Vega,
todas ellas en un marco incomparable.
Horario: De martes a sábado 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Cerrado domingos, lunes y festivos nacionales y locales
(11 Junio y 19 Octubre). Cerrado desde 22 Dic. hasta 6 de

The building, situated in the heart of Marbella, dates from
the XVII century and boasts beautiful gardens. Continually
hosts temporary exhibitions, lectures, and recitals. It is also
the Municipal Archives, and a mill of the XIX century, com-
posed by a mill, a thermobeater and two hydraulic presses.

Houses one of the most important collection of contemporary
Latin-American art in Europe, sharing space with others
European artists. It emphasizes artists such as Dalí, Miro,
Wifredo Lam, Roberto Matta or Braun-Vega, all of them in an
incomparable frame.

Reconstrucción topografíca del yacimiento, incluyendo
los cinco dólmenes en su posición original. Materiales

Desde su apertura el Museo ha sido centro vivo de reflexión
y acción en torno al Arte con mayúsculas, pero también
especialmente sobre el arte contemporáneo español y de
manera fundamental del grabado. Buena prueba de ello son
sus numerosas exposiciones.

La mayor colección europea y una de las más grandes del
mundo, con más de 5.000 plantas y más de 1.300 especies
de orquídeas de todo el mundo. Básicamente se recrea el
hábitat de las especies cálidas Sudamericanas y del Sudeste
Asiático. De Martes a Sábados de 9:30 a 18 h. Domingos
de 9:30 a 14 h. Lunes cerrado.

reflection and action surrounding Art, but it has also been
focused on the Spanish Contemporany Art and most importantly
prints. Proof of this are the many expositions of a greatest artis
like Picasso, Joán Miró, Goya, Eduardo Chillida, and more. The largest European collection and one of the largest in
the world, with more than 5,000 plants and more than

the habitat of warm South American and Southeast Asian
