At Site 18 the pasture in the wetter zones, behind the banks changed from predominantly Indian couch to couch grass, annual forbs and Parthenium weed( Parthenium hysterophorus). The pasture at all sites was dominated by Indian couch( Bothriochloa pertusa) before and after the works. Consequently, the ground cover was consistently high, but LCAT scores depressed as Indian couch is considered undesirable.
