The University believes that students’ are the single most important contributors to the management and development of courses. So, to enable students Reps to be as effective as possible, the University invests a significant sum in a scheme called ‘Student Voice Representatives’.
This has been running for about five years and has been enormously successful with visitors coming from other universities who are keen to copy our success! SVRs are an exciting supplement to the Course Reps system, and the elected Sabbatical Team in the Students’ Union. SVRs can be described as a liaison role between students and Course Reps, faculty staff, and the Students’ Union. Successful SVRs are paid a scholarship at the end of the academic year.
For 2013-14, we will soon be launching the recruitment campaign so watch this space or indicate your interest early on by e-mailing the Manager of the scheme, Denize McIntyre, on [email protected]
