With 140 winegrowers and a crack technical

with a fine pres

with a priority on listening to their
customers, you can be sure of very
special welcome in the two shops of the
cooperative winery of the villages of
Portiragnes and Villeneuve-lès-Béziers,
as well as the care given to the winemaking
process at the winery in Cers.
Recently renovated, they offer different
size spaces for their wine sales and a
tasting room in a pleasant and modern
setting.”Our wines have a soul and we
believe they have a story to tell that must
be experienced... not just displayed or
annotated.”
Thanks to open-mindedness and genuine
commitment to the life of the winery by the
cooperative growers, Alma Cersius wines
can be categorised into 3 main profiles:
“Committed” wines, “C’est la vie” wines
and “Charming and flavourful” wines. All
come from terroirs of rolled stones and
sedimentary clay soils benefiting from a
maritime influence. So, whether you are
“looking up at the stars”, “have your feet
in the water” or “have your head in the
clouds”, you will love these wines that are
full of humour and poetry.

And if “inspiration” comes to you when
tasting the Code range, a whole world of
sensations will open up to you. But the
favourite wine of Audrey, who manages
the shops, is “Alicante”, an IGP Coteaux de
Béziers, a forgotten single grape varietal
that has been updated thanks to new
production techniques by the winemakers.
Its other name is “The Dyer, because it’s so
black, through and through”.
When events are organised, the
winemakers take things in hand. The
winery’s new idea is the “intimate evenings”
of food and wine pairing with cheese and
chocolate and accompanied by detailed
explanations from oenologists, much to
the delight of the wine-lovers present.
“Between Earth and Sky”, the winemakers
of Alma Cersius have a few other surprises
up their sleeves.
