New Heights for
OUTDOOR ADVENTURE
This is big! New Girl Scout Journeys and badges are here to take the
girl leadership game to new heights—literally! From the 42 new badges
released in 2019, 12 are all about high-adventure, outdoor experiences.
As the very first Girl Scout badges that allow girls to choose their
own path to complete requirements, they’re designed for girls to
gain confidence while exploring nature and exciting adventures like
backpacking, rock climbing, and tree climbing.
SNOW OR CLIMBING ADVENTURE
Girl Scouts can choose between taking on a wintertime
adventure like skiing and snowboarding or focus on
taking their rock-climbing skills to new heights. Either
way, girls at all Girl Scout levels will tackle proper
preparation and embark on an incredible journey!
TRAIL ADVENTURE
At each level, Girl Scouts can choose one
of two self-directed paths to earn the Trail
Adventure badge. Both paths will help girls
learn more about trail hiking and grow their
skills with their chosen adventure!
