Because many members of the team were new to volleyball, they often practiced their spikes. 2. After the opposing team scored an ace, Brad Uhm and Matthias Buesing discuss how they can prevent another one. During the match against the SIS Tigers, time outs were called after an ace to gather up the team's confidence. 3. Peter Lee prepares himself for a great leap straight towards the ball. Mr. Laroche finds it important as a coach to make sure every individual on the team improves in the sport and in their own char- acteristic. 5. Spiking is one of the strongest moves in volleyball, because it is difficult to defend against, and even more dif- ficult to execute correctly. 6. Jason Park, Freddy Seo, and Daniel Oh stretch to get ready for volleyball practice. Stretching is only one of the many warm-ups the boys go through before they can play. Some others include running laps, high jumps, and wall sits. Usually the tallest player because they have to go up for the blocks. Picks up balls, gets water, keeps track of stats.
