1. Thomas Wigenton holds a basketball in the air as he looks for people to pass to. He was able to interact with Upper Secondary students since Back to School Bash was open to both upper and lower secondary students. 2. While Junho Cho waits in a line for a free hot dog and drink he takes a dish from the pile. SCA students were in charge of grilling the food in order to serve the community. 3. Jaewon Min and Jeison Ward chat with their friends while waiting in line for free hot dogs and drinks. Back to School Bash was the first event of the year held by SCA after summer break, which allowed students to interact and take a step back from their studies. 4. Grace Choi, Jenny Lee, and Nicole Eggens sit against the wall in the gym. Students played sports at the event, and had time to talk relax, and spend time with their friends. 5. Max Kim stands arm to arm with elementary students as he grabs a volleyball to play with in the gym. The students had to wait their turn to play as there were many students who wanted to play sports. 6. Jeffer Ward in on guard to receive the basketball from the hoop.
Before students could make their way to the gym to play sports they were greeted by a face painting booth in the first floor lobby. 7. Jun Woo Kang, an SCA member, prepares hot dogs for the students attending the Back
to School Bash. This was his first SCA event that he helped organize.
8. Ms. Forbes, one of the history teachers, came outside of
the gym to get a free hot dog and drink. She smiles while carrying her son, Joshua Forbes, who holds up his favorite stuffed animal.
Back to School Bash was fun and I played a lot of volleyball with my friends, Like Zachariah Ward. This event is a good opportunity for the new students to hang out with the returning students and bond by playing sports. I was able to reunite with the graduates from GSIS.
