Grade 12
Pep Rally is a time where the student body
gathers together to cheer on the sports
teams of the season as they head off for
their respective KAIAC Tournaments. One
new aspect of Pep Rally was the USS and
LSS were joined together to propagate
school spirit. Despite the concern s on time
due to the larger audience, the Pep Rally
was a great success.

Grade 9
In the Pep rally, it was good showing the
awards of the sports. But it was too long.
I think we don’t have to have an assembly
schedule when we have the Pep Rally since
we miss homeroom because of it.

1. Brad Uhm, Partha Yashraj, and Rikumu Shigeta start the Pep Rally off with a bang, shouting
out in school spirit. The Upper Secondary SCA got the students excited for the Pep Rally by
telling each grade - one-by-one - to shout as loud as they could. 2. Joanne Lee gives away
candy to the lower secondary students to get them energized for the Pep Rally. Only the
sections who cheered for their grade the loudest received candy. 3. Max Kim, Eric Lee and
Loukas Kang ready their janggu, the traditional Korean drum for the assembly. Whenever SCA
told the seniors to cheer, Eric Lee was ready to start booming the janggu as loud as he could.
4. Jeison Ward, Matthew Lee, Jude Jeong, Ethan Park, and Mincai Jin all duck and dodge -
scrambling for candy. The SCA handed out candy to the students to get them prepared for a
great Pep Rally. 5. Historian, Sarah Kim and President, Teri Park play with their gold and pur-
ple clappers before the big event. They then passed out clappers at the entrance to the gym
for all the students who came to the Pep Rally. 6. The SCA held a tug-of-rope competition,
where different grades were put into the same team to work together. Dash Lee, William Kim,
Freddy Seo, Jun Park, and Jun Woo Kang collectively hauled the cord - along with the oppos-
ing team - across the center line. Though the sophomores tried hard, it was the freshman who
won when the teachers joined up with them. 7. The main purpose of the Pep Rally is to cele-
brate the seasons athletes. The Lady Knight Tennis players line up to celebrate their successes
and say goodbye to their senior players. This year they said farewell to Jaipriya Gupta.
