1. Joshua
Laroche traps the ball
after getting across his teammate. With the coaches’ help,
he was able to develop this skill during
practice.2. Natsuba Suzuki throws in the ball
after it was cleared by an SFS player. 3. Masataka
Shimokawa piggybacks his teammate after he fell down
from a dangerous tackle. 4. Nazarii Karpinskyi focuses on
the ball that is being hurled toward him. The goalie was the only
player on the team that could use both hands to block a soccer ball.
5. Nirupam Maheshuwari plays rock-paper-scissors with the opponent to
determine which team should start with the ball. Alumni Kenny Sim watches and
is the main referee for this particular game. 6. Saran Watanabe dribbles the ball past
the opponent who attempts to steal it from him. Breaking through the opponent’s defense was
critical in order to score a goal. 7. Hyungwook Ku dribbles past four opponent defensive players and
seizes his chance to score a goal. 8. Raiki Sodeoka tricks his opponent and dribbles in front of the opposing
goalie. 9. Hyungwook Ku, Kai Thomas, Akihito Koyanna, and Kaleb Kim watch the soccer game from outside the line.
After the players were out of the field, students watched the game and cheered the team on. 10. While sitting on the sideline,
Saran Watanabe has a conversation with a parent. Parents and coaches supported the students during the season. 11. As soccer
etiquette, Abhinav Jha exchanges a high-five with the opponent after the game ends. After every match, players exchanged high-fives
as a sign of respect for each other. 12. Trisha Palli stretches her legs before the match. Stretching was important to prevent serious injuries. 13. Konstantin Shulga attempts to pick up the ball. Students practiced throwing a ball in the game. If a player threw the ball the wrong
manner, they got a foul. 14. Haruhi Suzuki is directed by Mr. Porter. As the coach, Mr. Porter provided help with telling players what to do in a
soccer game.
