During this year in kindergarten her students visited the Korean Folk Village. They dug for sweet potatoes and tried to catch mudfish. 16 Elementary 2010 Students learned about their families and communities this year by studying different citizens of the world and sharing their own personal stories about their culture. This was Amore Watanabe’s first year at GSIS. He and his two brothers are known in the elementary school for being excellent soccer players. 2011 Kindergarteners played a lot of learning games such as puzzles, counting with coins, playing with links, and building structures with wooden blocks. They brought in 100 things to school, played number games, and popped 100 balloons. 2013 Students made a timeline of their lives and brought in three photos of themselves.
