A Star is Reborn
Converted shipping containers have become all the rage at football grounds in recent years, and several of them have been put to good use at Scotswood, with some being deployed as dressing rooms and toilets, with others being piled on top of each to create a viewing lounge in one corner. Perhaps most impressive of all, particularly for those visiting the venue for the first time, is the ground’ s frontage. A giant illuminated sign, the centre piece of which is, appropriately enough, a blue star, stretches across the entrance, instantly creating a good impression and whetting the appetite for what lies beyond the turnstiles.
