Their upward progress slowed by Covid, Newcastle Blue Star eventually made it to the Northern League in 2023 / 24. By this time, the ground at Scotswood, now styled as Hospitality marquee the KD Stadium, had developed further, and could boast a covered terrace alongside the main Alan Smith Stand, plus further covered seating on the Hadrian’ s Way side, which was accompanied by a long pitch side marquee dispensing drinks and hospitality.
