That is only the beginning.
Arriving at the homestead, one is surrounded by historical buildings galore. Two huge manor houses – the original one, complete with reed ceilings, and the current house – and other buildings prove that successful farming has been practised here for eons. Not to mention the imposing rows of stables – but more about them later when we discuss the Karoo Winter Wool Festival.
And the farm’ s history is as impressive as the place itself.
A FARMING LEGACY SPANNING GENERATIONS
