The cellar offers an experience guests won’ t easily forget. In the soft glow of candlelight, visitors are invited to experience the quiet, cool air of the underground cellar, where the scent of oak barrels and maturing wine fills the atmosphere.
At Weltevrede, the soil itself is part of the story. Different soil types, from shale to lime-rich alluvial soils, give each wine its unique personality. This diversity ensures that every bottle carries a distinct, recognisable flavour that speaks of its origin.
Philip’ s work extends beyond his own farm. He has participated in projects abroad, such as providing a mobile processing unit to a farmer in Uganda to help them produce wine there. He was also involved in
