Quetone has never attended any school but Keys . “ I started Pre-K at Keys , and have been here all my life ,” he said . “ The seniors ’ job this year is to lead the team , and carry out as many wins as possible , just find a way .
“ My particular goal is to catch the ball , and not let anyone catch the ball ,” he said , referring to offense and defense , respectively . “ I ’ ll try to help everyone get along , and work together as a team .
“ Four of us seniors have been together almost all our lives , and we ’ re all very close knit ,” he added .
Glory also started Pre-K at Keys , and is still at Keys . “ My role is to keep everyone motivated and excited ,” he said , “ and to finish every play and every down .
“ That ’ s the job of all us seniors , to keep everyone and everything going ,” he said . “ I ’ m not the most vocal guy on the field .
“ People will watch me , and see what I ’ m doing , and if they have any questions , they ’ ll come up and ask me , and I ’ ll tell them ,” he said .
Combs is another lifer at Keys . “ I think our seniors are pretty tight ,” he said . “ The four of us that have always been here , we know each other very well , and hang out together .
“ Our goal as seniors is to lead the team , keep them motivated ,” he said .
“ As seniors , our goal is to get back to the playoffs ,” he
added . “ That time of year , it gets crazy , anything can happen . You ’ re playing the games , have your head down pounding ahead , then suddenly you ’ re playing that last game , so it ’ s important to always have that ultimate goal .
Combs said all the positions on the field were equal to him , no one was any more important than any other . However , he paid special tribute to the guys up front , the offensive line .
“ Without those guys , we couldn ’ t do anything ,” he said . “ The running backs couldn ’ t get loose , the receivers wouldn ’ t have time to get open .
“ It all starts with those guys in the dirt ,” he said .
