Uplifting romance:
Jade and C & W star Pecos Hurley
The former Jade Jacobs of Greenville is more than just a fan of the country and western band Pecos and the Rooftops.
She ' s married to the lead singer / guitarist, Pecos Hurley, who was born in Sulphur Springs and grew up in Yantis and Paris, Texas.
Jade first met Pecos in 2021 after lining up the band to play at the Hunt County Fair. As an employee of Rafter P Construction, she helped book bands for the fair.

The 6-foot-5 Pecos played basketball at Yantis High School and then football and basketball at Paris Chisum High School.
Jade played a multitude of positions for the Lady Lions ' softball team, including catcher.
Pecos played quarterback, tight end and defensive end on the football team at Chisum. The Mustangs ' football team didn ' t do so well, but the basketball team won 22 games.
Pecos also competed in calf roping back in the day. One of the first rodeos ever held was at Pecos, Texas, back in 1883. That ' s why his family named him Pecos.
" I grew up in a rodeo family," Pecos told Brandon Adams on The Blueprint by Smoking Gun podcast. " We had a horse to ride. We had a pretty good time growing up."
