Q & A LIFE D WORDS BY TRAVIS HAIRGROVE

‘ It’ s About Memories’ Travel-loving family treasures priceless experiences

Visiting different climates, eating unfamiliar foods and interacting with different cultures add up to making travel a truly enriching, perspective-broadening experience.

One couple that has taken this to heart – with frequent travels in Mexico, to Caribbean and Pacific islands and throughout the U. S. – is former Greenville resident Dustin Morrison and his dentist wife Dr. Melina Morrison, who now live in Rockwall. Their love for adventure has also extended to their eldest son, Colton, who recently went on a church mission trip to Kenya.
Despite the Morrisons’ busy life and work schedule, Greenville Life magazine managed to catch up with Dustin and ask him a few questions about what he’ s gained through his family’ s vacations.

Q: Q:

– What is your favorite thing about traveling?
I love making memories with my family and traveling to new places that will be something everyone in the family will remember and enjoy. Experiencing different foods, culture and how people do everyday life in other places is fun and also builds character. Funny enough, one of the best things about travel-

Q: ing is the anticipation for a trip.

– What is your least favorite thing about traveling?
I think cost. Haha. Some of the most amazing places I’ ve ever been are also the most expensive. Which is unfortunate. However, that makes it rare and memorable too.
– What is a favorite vacation moment of yours?
Walking on a small motu( a type of reef) in the French Polynesian islands, alone with my wife. No one else was around. It was our honeymoon and it was absolutely stunning. The water was shallow and crystal clear. It seemed like we walked two football fields out into the water and it was still below our waist. We saw stingrays and black tip reef sharks swim right next to us. The sun was making this beautiful sparkle on the water like diamonds everywhere. It was so beautiful and a perfect moment of just her and me being newlyweds and in paradise. It was truly amazing.
