“ This is an incredibly vocal heavy show ,” said Smith Hale . “ The talent just blows me away . I get chills every time I hear them singing . Because it ’ s such an iconic show and because you ’ ve got such incredible singers in the original cast , there ’ s a high standard and expectations . But my goodness , they ’ re incredible . These girls are going to blow you away .” The performance also will test the technical wizardry of the sound , set and lights team .
“ We ’ ve got magic . We ’ ve got a lot of lighting elements and some decorative elements in our sets that we ’ re hoping comes off like we ’ ve envisioned ,” said Tibboel .
Greenville Family Theater began its run in 2015 with a production of ‘ Hello Dolly .”
Smith Hale ’ s mother , the late Kathleen Smith , was a drama teacher , the theater ’ s first creative director and founder of Greenville Family Theater .
