The Butler County School System consists of six accredited schools serving over 3,000 students in Greenville , Georgiana , and McKenzie with over 350 highly qualified teachers and support staff .
HEAD OF THE CLASS : Butler County ’ s leaders and educators are working hard to bring the best educational opportunities to its children . In the classroom or in athletic competition , students in Butler County learn principles and lessons they will follow for a lifetime .
One of the county school district ’ s crown jewels is Georgiana School . Located in Georgiana , this $ 12,5 million state of- the-art structure provides classes for kindergarten – 6 in one wing , and grades 7-12 in another wing .
In Greenville , W . O . Parmer Elementary , which serves students K-2 , boasts a recently constructed kindergarten building featuring an oldfashioned « Little Red Schoolhouse » in its front entrance , new classrooms and a new cafetorium .
The largest school in the county , Greenville High School , can be seen from I-65 , catching the attention of many travelers with its sprawling campus . Like Georgiana School the school is housed under one very large roof , offering students grades 9-12 both college prep and vocational education curriculums . GHS also provides students opportunities for their creativity to shine , through award-winning music , art and drama programs .
Greenville Middle School serves grades five through eight and serves the needs of middle schoolers , helping them make the transition to senior high school . Greenville Elementary School serves the city ’ s third and fourth graders .
Ask what the community prides itself most on is the south Butler town of McKenzie , and the answer is “ Our school .” McKenzie School serves students K-12 .
