MAKING THE GRADE : Fort Dale Academy , a member of the Alabama Independent School Association , serves students from K-3 through 12th grade .
Fort Dale Academy recognizes that children come school with individual interests , abilities , and patterns of growth and development . Understanding these differences , the mission of Fort Dale Academy is to prepare our students for college and careers in an environment that is rigorous , nurturing , safe and is morally , socially , and emotionally supportive . Marking its 50th anniversary in 2019 FDA is known for both its academic excellence and its athletic prowess .
Students have earned many scholarship dollars , more than $ 5 million in the last four years , and honorable titles as well such as Butler County
Distinguished Young Woman , Achiever Award ( male and female ), and Lowndes County Distinguished Young Woman .
The school ’ s athletic program has also produced championship teams in football , basketball , soccer , and tennis in years past .
Fort Dale students excel outside the classroom in areas of art and music , many of whom are members of the Greenville Area Arts Council ’ s Ritz Players , a community theater group that stages annual productions in downtown Greenville .
