Lawsonia rated 4½ stars by Golf Digest
Links ranked #13 “Most Fun Public Course”
in the United States by Golf Digest!
The Golf Courses of Lawsonia are
rich with history. The Links was
built by the H. O. Stone Company in
1930. Designers William Langford
and Theodore Moreau traveled to
Scotland to sketch and photograph
famous golf holes at links-style
courses before laying out Lawsonia
with multi-tiered greens, some 90
bunkers and deep rough.
In the 1930s the course hosted the Little Lawsonia
Open which drew Ben Hogan, Sam Snead and
Byron Nelson. Today, the Links, one of America’s
very best classic courses, is ranked #52 in the U.S.
by Golfweek Magazine. A true links golf experience
in Wisconsin!
The first nine of the Woodlands Course was added
in 1983, and the second nine opened in 1991. Set in
a remarkable Wisconsin landscape, the Woodlands
includes beautiful tree-lined fairways, stunning
views of Green Lake, and a famous par 3 with a 65’
drop!
Langford’s Pub (formerly the Caddyshack), offers
great food and drink.
Oliphant Golf Management maintains the courses,
and manages the pro shop and pub. Their parent
company, Oliphant Golf, Inc., is an industry leader
in golf course construction and renovation,
including Pebble Beach in Monterey, CA. Oliphant
is recognized by Golfweek, Golf Digest and Golf
Magazine on their ‘Best Of’ lists.
