Linney Breaux’s Cajun Eatery at Kroner and Baer Pub in downtown Tahlequah.
awesome and it’s some-
thing a little different.
Their customer service is
exceptional,” she said.
Linney Breaux’s food
proved its popularity at a
recent Crawfish Festival,
which kept the staff cook-
ing all day at the event
held at Kroner & Baer
Pub. Lines were out to the
street most of the day, and
all the tables were filled
with people eating shrimp
and crawfish and enjoying
live music outdoors.
Since Linney Breaux’s
opened, Eric Sanders has
eaten there as often as he
can. The first Saturday in
March, he brought son
Hunter, 7, to the Crawfish
Festival.
“We gig, but cook dif-
ferent than this. This is
boiled and we fry it with
cornmeal,” said Sanders.
Customer service is a
reason three regulars gave
for choosing Napoli’s.
“The bread is fantastic,”
said Larry Vance, who also
likes the chicken broccoli
and values the fast service.
For Mark Murphy, who
always orders the veal
parmesan, it’s the good
food and clean space, as
well as the fast service.
Mike Betsworth said he
gets sausage and peppers
every time.
Although “chicken” is
in the name, Sam and El-
la’s is famous for its pizza.
Bridget Roussell Cowl-
ishaw likes the Arti Wrap
there because the fresh
dough is heavenly.
“Their pizza sauce is
perfect in every way, but
even more perfect with
added garlic. I’ve had piz-
za all over the country
and the world. I would
compare Sam & Ella’s to
the best of the best any-
where,” she said.
As local favorites, Mat-
thew Anderson picked
Jinny’s Taco Truck by the
bowling alley as having
the best tacos around, and
Oasis Health Foods Store
as a little-known gem.
“Jinny’s chicken tacos

are grilled to perfection
with seasoned rice and
ranch-style beans,” said
Anderson.
“Everything on Oasis’
menu is superb, but I love
that they are also locally
sourced with grass-fed
cattle from Mud Valley
Road, vegetables from
Sparrow Hawk Mountain,
and it’s prepared by a re-
nowned chef and served
by the friendliest folks
around.”
José’s guacamole and
El Zarape’s chicken soup
were mentioned as favor-
ites by several locals, in-
cluding Candessa Tehee,
who appreciates Tahle-
quah’s great food options.
“José’s guacamole –
they make it fresh before
they bring it to your table
and it is perfect,” she said.
Street tacos at José’s are
the best David R. Coming-
deer has had anywhere.
“Straight up, fresh in-
gredients and quality asa-
da. Great family business,”
Comingdeer said.
