Muskogee setting plans for upcoming holiday events

Events for the holiday season in Muskogee are taking shape .
Two annual events will kick off the season for Halloween .
The Halloween Festival at the Castle of Muskogee will be open every Friday and Saturday during October .
Something new for 2022 is the transformation of the Castle Cave . Jester ’ s Revenge is the newest addition to the Halloween lineup .
This haunt comes with Boardwalk Fun House vibes and a heavy dose of Sinister Clown . Guests will experience the terrors of the jesters who reside in this abandoned fun house . This 3.5 skull haunt will be offered through the Fright Combo .
Casa Morte has also been upgraded . The Murder House has new residents , which include dolls and killer deviants . There are dark halls and many turns in this nightmarish realm .
Tickets are $ 15- $ 20 per event or there are package deals ranging from $ 40- $ 90 .
The Downtown Halloween Boo-nanza will be 6-8 p . m . Oct . 29 . It will start at Main Street and Broadway and end on Elgin Avenue and Third Street . Trick-ortreating and carnival games will be from 6-7:30 p . m . in downtown Muskogee while an all-ages costume contest will be hosted from 7:30-8 p . m . at the Depot Green Pavilion .
There are also familiar events set to run during the Thanksgiving-Christmas period .
The annual Garden of Lights tour will take place in Honor Heights Park , beginning Thanksgiving night and running through the end of December .
“ Admission is $ 5 per car , $ 10 for a passenger van / bus ,” said Muskogee Parks and Recreation Assistant Director Rick Ewing . “ Also , Mondays are free .”
Ewing said work has begun and the tour should run smoother than the past two years .
